Nova smiled politely at Jerrad as she gently took the container that held the water of which truly did belong to Oni. The blond girl didn't take anymore sips of water from the canteen, instead making sure to toss it back to Oni once she made sure that the dark skin man had noticed that she wanted to throw something over towards him. "Basically we're doing a Battle Royal between us and the Heartless?" Nova's words muttered allowed, it was open in the air for either their new Boss leader to answer or even Blondie to answer her muttering, yet it was mostly for Nova to confirm what Boss wanted to do.
The Neutral Zones interested Nova quite a bit, if it were possible after their little battle with the Darkness, the blond teen would like to return to the area and try to study the location. Perhaps there were runes or teachings of some sort near by that allowed the area to remain pure of both darkness and light? The blond's mind was racing in a curious gander of what could be the cause of it all.
However, with Jerrad's note of whether or not they could summon the Keyblades seemed to be well, the key. "Jerrad's right.. I didn't know about the Keyblade until the heartless showed up." Nova admitted with slight doubt in her voice, mostly whether or not she could summon it on a will, her blue-violet eyes glanced at Jerrad before looking at the Boss.
'If you can't summon the Key, then we wasted the entire day. Remember, you're the one ones who insisted on doing this. I'm merely obliging you.' Oni replied with Jerrard as sweat trickled down the side of his neck. He'd look at Nova and notice she no longer wanted the canteen of water. The girl tossed it in his direction, he'd catch it with a single hand. He rose an eyebrow and shook it -- noticing how full it still was. Surly they were thirstier than this? They have been riding hours in this desert after all. Maybe they were concerned about him and his well being? He'd smirk at the thought, though he did appreciate the gesture. But, like he said before, this was nothing to him. 'Whatever Heartless rear it's head, we'll dispatch of it. Like I said before, these Heartless are nothing to me. They are the grunts in the pecking order, understand? But there is also that change I could be wrong. I expect you both to use your best jud--....' He'd cease his words abruptly as a lone palm tree arose off the horizon. 'Over there.' He spoke -- leading the trio off in the direction with increased speeds.
They'd arrive at a crystal clear oasis filled with refreshing clean water...
'We made it .' Oni spoke jumping off the yellow bird and feeding it some Greens for it's hard efforts. The Drifter said nothing to the two bearers as he made his way over to the waters edge. He'd lodge the massive blade within his possession in the sand, take off his heavy black jacket, and deep his entire head into the depths of the oasis -- his head submerged for minutes with little bubbles rising to the surface indicating he was still alive. As suddenly as he dunked his head, he arose with the same abrupt nature -- the weight from the water making his somewhat spiky hair now straight. He sat on his butt and looked over the crystal clear water. 'Guess I needed water more than I thought. Who would've guessed?' He said sarcastically under his breath, but loud enough for the two bearers to hear if they were listening. 'This is the "Neutral-Zone" peaceful, right? Despite all the chaos within this world. No matter how much darkness consumes this place. This little area will forever remain beautiful; oblivious and unchanged to the world around it.'

Once the traveling trio arrived at the neutral zone Jerrard would immediately hop off the back of his Chocobo, before scratching the top of its head causing it to happily make noises as it started to follow the blonde around. "I think it likes me..." he said chuckling as he sat down next to the oasis, the chocobo standing next to him. "Well thats what hot weather does oni..." he mumbled sarcastically back at oni's comment about needing more water than he thought. Before the tall man began talking about the neutral zone. Jerrard would hold his arm out straight in front of him while he began talking "So...we're gonna bring a bunch of these heartless things to a place thats peaceful?" He questioned before a light flashed in his hand momentarily, the large yellow handled keyblade appearing in his hand once more. "Oh noooow you pop up..."

After Oni had gotten off of his Chocobo, Nova found herself sliding off of the saddle with a slight squeak, stabilizing herself from tumbling into the desert's sand just as the yellow mush of fluff seemed to let out a rather amused squawk. The blue-violet eyed girl stuck out her tongue at the creature before leading it to the oasis, the Chocobo seemed glad that the girl lead it to the water source. "Not even you're all mighty, Boss." The blond said to the white haired man, still unaware of his actual name.
As Jerrad begun to speak, Nova wandered to the edge of the oasis with her eyes glancing over every single thing. Slowly did the young woman find herself in front of the palm tree. Nova pressed her palm against the rough bark of the tree, with a slight smile on her face. Maybe this is the neutral's source? The question had endless theories and possibilities as the blond tilted her head, allowing the red hat to fall off and drop into the water, gently beginning to float around.
Nova chuckled upon hearing Jerrad's comment, then seeing his keyblade. It was the exact replica of her own keyblade that she remembered with a hazy memory back at Atlantis. "Perhaps the Keyblade comes when it knows we're putting ourselves in harms way." Nova chirped, walking through the water again at the shore, standing near Jerrad and looking at his own keyblade.
There was a soft hum that the young woman could hear, causing her heart to flutter somewhat. Glancing around, Nova didn't notice any heartless appearing. Nova stepped away from Jerrad, glancing at their Boss for a quick moment. Closing her blue-violet eyes, there was a funny tingle across her hand before her fingers gracefully wrapped around the handle of the Kingdom Key.
Instead of holding it the correct way, the teeth of the Keyblade pointed towards her back as the blade itself rested against the back of her arm, Nova's wrist slightly slanted to hold it in her own unique way.
"Boss" Oni looked at the female with a gentle smirk. "Oni, not Boss." He'd remain sitting as the two Bearers spoke about matters he honestly saw no point in talking about. However, a grand flash of holy light cascaded over the Oasis area for a split second. Jerrard seemed to be going on about something, so Oni reluctantly looked in the blondes direction. To the Warrior's surprise, he laid eyes upon the majestic Key of light. "How did I know it would be this easy..." He murmured with an annoyed tone and faint sigh. Well, at least Oni didn't have to go through with his more "dangerous" approach to unlock this males Inner-Power. But what about the gir--...? Like clockwork, she two summoned her Key of light. "Your both almost making this too easy..." Oni said with a dull tone -- finally standing up and looking at Jerrard's Key. "Oi, Casanova. Let me borrow that for one moment." He said extending his arm. Instantaneously, the Key phased into Oni's firm gloved grip. "The rat said that would work, but I never believed him..." The Drifter thought to himself as he swung the light Key a few times. As he swung, he explained more about why this Key was so important in this war. "When I vanquish the Heartless with my blade. It returns back to the looming darkness and returns 10x stronger. But when you Bearers of the Key vanquish them. They stay vanquished for good. Light beats Dark, and Dark beats Light. Always remember that."
With that being said, Oni returned the Key back to Jerrard with a faint transporting light. "This is your finally warning. From this moment onward there will be no turning back. Are you both sure you want to go through with this?"

"Boss huh..." he whispered as Nova refereed to Oni as such, it did seem rather fitting for the large white haired man. "Ehh...ill stick to calling em oni.." Jerrard thought to himself as he noticed Nova summoned her own keyblade. "So you did have one after all!" He called out to her, chuckling as he said it "Not that I didn't believe you..." he added before his keyblade poofed away and appeared in Oni's hand. "Thats miiiine" he jokingly droned out as oni started talking, before the key re appeared in his own gloveless hand after he finished talking. Slinging the key over his shoulder Jerrard would stare over at Oni "Alright...no turning back then..."

Nova hummed softly to herself as Oni finally gave her his name, although the name 'Oni' meant something every different back in her home world, his name meaning something else to another language which made the young blond smirk. He truly did fit for their title of what an 'Oni' is. Regardless of what his name meant in her world, the nickname Boss was rather fitting for the large structured male.
Nova grinned and looked at Oni with a somewhat shadow smile on her face. "As the phrase goes; Calm before the Storm." Nova quickly came to grasp that idea that things would indeed be easy for them now, but no doubt things would get harder done the line, especially since the two of them wanted to actually put their lives on the line in order to push back against the darkness. I won't go home until people are safe.. Nova's mind muttered to herself.
The world cannot survive without Darkness, nor without Light. It seemed almost fitting that each element in the worlds could destroy one another.
Nova's unique hued eyes glanced down at the keyblade that was within her grasp. This was the thing that could help her and other people safe from the impending darkness. Oddly enough, the young girl just grinned a smile full of hope and her inner strength. "No way am I back out now." Nova wasn't afraid now, whether she liked it or probably Oni liked it, she wasn't going to go anywhere but forward.
"Fine" He spoke at them both with a calm tone. This was it -- no turning back for either of them. They either learn leave the nest flying, or leave plummeting to their deaths below. It all came down to their willpower and determination to live. "This'll only take a second." He spoke again -- removing his massive and grotesque blade from the blistering sands. He walked about thirty or so meters away from the two and stood completely still. "I want you both to focus and answer this question: Why do you wish to use the Keys power?" The intense desert winds suddenly came to a halt as the sky above them darkened with puffy black clouds. Oni looked skyward -- his blood pumping with anticipation and excitement. He'd speak to the Key-Users once again. "No matter how things look -- no mater how much darkness fogs your path. There will always be light at the end of the tunnel. Now focus on your resolve and show the darkness you embrace your destiny!" The atmosphere became very intense... Would they succeed or fail?

Jerrard sat there quietly as Nova and Oni took their turns talking, reaching up and stroking the feathered fur of the chocobo standing next to him. The yellow bird seemed so lucky right not, it had no cares in the world besides eating and probably wondering where the trio would ride them next, it basically lived a carefree life. Something Jerrard apparently no longer could do, even if he decided not to fight these weird heartless creatures, they'd still end up seeking out him and his keyblade...these keyblades, everything seems to revolve around them, maybe it was a good thing the boy couldn't live a a carefree life, maybe he was supposed to use it to protect people.
As Oni finished asking his question Jerrard would snap out of his daze, taking his hand off of the chocobo he'd look up at the man who seemed to of picked up his sword while Jerrard was thinking. "I wish to use the keyblade's power to protect people Oni..." he said still keeping his eyes on the man, as he untied the jacket from his waist and threw it up on the Chocobo's back. "If it wasn't for the key, who knows what the heartless could of done to me and my family, and everyone else back in Radiant Garden. The keyblade's the only reason the people I care about were able to be same. And I'll keep using it to, to keep them all safe."
