It was the only thing that allowed them to realize that there wasn't just a suffering silence throughout the entire location. That there was some type of sound, there just wasn't anything else there to let them know of something else. There was no people, there was no source of food, there wasn't anything but the sound of cresting waves and sometimes the crunch of the sand beneath one's feet. This time, these foot steps belonged to a woman whose footsteps were light but yet continued to trek across the jagged shore side. The dark navy waves lapping gently against the ground. The archways of the darkness made rock formations were the only thing that she's learned to admire throughout the years. "Do you doubt, Aqua?" The voice seemed hollow, almost as if he were the one doubting their escape from the snare of the Darkness. His clear liquid blue eyes glanced sideways at the blue haired woman, whom was standing with her back straight despite having done the same thing for the past... past the couple of years of this same thing over and over. Blond hair was still slicked back along his scalp, nothing seems to have changed. Days, Months, or even Years have passed and neither one of them could probably tell which of the three have happened. Dark, yet surprisingly bright ocean blue eyes glanced towards the older gentleman with a small smile on her face. "No, I don't doubt. I believe that he will come for you and I." Her gaze turned back to the shore, her namesake. These were the simple conversations that they've had for what seemed to be forever. Neither one of them though grew tired of the others company. However, they had no choice in the matter. Without the other, they would be completely and utterly alone with no one there to keep each other going. Something shined in Aqua's eyes though, there was a sense of inviting warmth and comfort. It was no longer dragging, or depressing. It was enlightening. Aqua found herself turning slightly around to look behind her, a shimmering great light was beckoning not to only her, but to the blond man beside her. "Ansem... I think it's time." Her words were holy, they spoke with clearness and slight hint of excitement. Beside her, the tall blond chuckled as he stood up for what seemed to be the first in many years. His own blue eyes gazed at the opening then at the bluenette girl beside him. They had seen the same darkness for years, but yet he wouldn't tell her the truth, she deserved despite being the known current Keyblade Master, she deserved some type of comfort knowing that maybe things haven't changed, if they have it has been for the best. "After you, Keyblade Master." With that, Aqua found herself stepping into the light, the familiarity of the Light, pushing against the Darkness made the bluenette woman realized that she was finally going home, that she could see the two of them again. Ven... Terra. |
