Sora and Kairi head out in search of the seven pieces of Light. Meanwhile, King Mickey and Riku are on the search for more potential keyblade wielders to help in the fight, but there are others who can be just as helpful without keyblades.

However, a mysterious evil has once more sealed off different worlds from travelers, creating creatures of great powers to act as barriers. In order to break down the barriers, people must defeat these creatures, but its unknown who created these barriers in the first place. Some believe it's Xehanort, while others believe it's a new villain. One thing is for sure, everyone needs to become a hero to protect their worlds from these creatures.

Terra, Ventus, and Aqua are trapped within sleeping worlds. They are trying to find a way to escape but Xehanort is preventing all from leaving and entering. Who will be able to free these three from the seperate sleeping worlds?
